In literacy we have been learning about untamed and the meaning We listened to two songs, they were Treasure By Bruno Mars and Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson.
We discussed and brainstormed the song title meanings.
We then looked at the lyrics and what they meant.
Treasure By Bruno Mars is about A girl that he got  she was a special girl.
Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson is about He has changed  his life.

Rain comes down hard and cold from the dark grey clouds.

It drenches my clothes,making me soggy and wet and freezing cold.

Freezing like Antarctic ice.

When it rains it is freezing.

While it  rains I stay inside.

As I go inside from the cold I sit in front of the fire.

After, when the snows goes away I am sad because I love snow.

Before when I go outside I need to put heaps of warm clothes on me.

Sometimes when it is cold I have a scrumptious hot chocolate.

I love snow, but I don't like the cold.

This week in writing we have been learning to use adjectives. We read the story "The best part of me" by Wendy Ewald. Next we barnstormed ideas about our best body part.This is my writing.What is your best body part and why?

The best thing about me is My hands My hands are the best part of me because

if I didn't have them I couldn't grasp a  ball to throw it.when I am playing in the playground at school I pull myself up using my hands.my dog ruby, to do jobs for the teachers. But thank god I do have my hand.

I think he should not stay up late because he will have to get up really really early and  do heaps of fun things but he will not what to do it because he will be so tired he will not what to get out of bed and he said that he will stay in bed all day.

He will be grumpy in the morning.

If he sleep’s early he might get a treat the next day.

What is happening down stairs?

When I was sleeping in my bed i heard a noise? CRACK! i am so scared what is that  down stairs? I came down Stairs then i soor pompom on her Pillow a sleep and i Saw a Bright green then i Heard this noise… then i ran up Stairs so fast i could not Brave at all. I came back downstairs and I took a photo of it but i could see it but on the Camera you could not see it at all. And i was trying to show the cop it but it did not show up! OMG THERE IS A MONSTER IN MY HOUSE! I am not  going to stay home alone again For good.

Finding pounamu

I have been reading a book about pounamu.

I know that pounamu is shiney as glass and when you find one it feels like water is in my hands.

Can you help me, what do you know about pounamu?

Steps:

Washed hands for no germs….

. Equipment- food processor,measuring.

. Ingredients-raisins,coconut oil,cocou.

. How tomake 1. Place raisins or sultanas in the food processor and turn on. 2. Add outs to the food processor.3. Add desiccated coconut to food processor.4. Add Coconut oil to food processor.5. Process until raisins are smooth but you can still see the coconut.6. Roll into small balls and serve.1. Process for an extra 2-4 minutes until all ingredients are smooth,more like a paste and you can't see coconut separately.2. Roll in grated,chocolate,more coconut, crushed nuts or cocoa.

Wind

Boy it is hot today can you feel the hot sun?

Wind is air moving.

Wind is air in motion.

A windstorm is just a storm with high winds or violent gusts but little or no rain.

I like wind when there is warm air but I do not like cold wind.

Wind is so cold and my face is so freezing and my hair is so messy and you can see the trees is like wobbling like a bubble and it’s look crazy and the leaves keep falling.It’s look so good today is so sunny and sometimes is gonna be cloudy and rainy.It’ so cold and windy here!!
