Softball poem

This week in writing Mrs McGuinniety told us to make a poem about something love I did softball because I love it this is my writing 

Softball

I love Softball.
Been playing since I was 3.
I am the Pitcher

Everyday with my dad and my sister Emily we all practicals.
On Saturday my game is at 9:00 my sisters game is at 12:30 then my dads game is at 1:00.

My friends in softball some of them come to this school there names are Hannah, Lalya- Rose..
When it is time for me to go up and bat whenever I bat I’m here.
BANG!BOOM!

That bat hits that ball then I run to first base and I see people staring at me on the felt.
I feel like I am the boss of the game no one can stop me.
So times I smell mud or food what people that are on the sideline so yummy.

I am definatly playing softball next year.I can't wait to play.

Camping Trip

“I guess this is what the wilderness feels like.” John said to himself. Standing there
in the woods, he couldn’t believe he had agreed to go on a camping trip with his cousins.
He’d always been scared of new experiences.

John noticed that his cousins were unpacking the camping gear while his Uncle Jim was setting up the tent.
Suddenly, John felt a little bad about not helping. “Hey, Uncle Jim, what can I do to help?” he asked, trying to
sound confident.

“Why don’t you gather some firewood?”Uncle Jim answered.

“Um, sure” John replied. “Where do they keep it?”

Uncle Jim gave John a curious look. “We are in the woods John, just look around for some
clean and dry wood.”

Predict

In reading I am learning to predict. I had to look at the picture and predict what was happening. I use my prior knowledge and clues from the text.

• Describe the scene. How does the picture make you feel?
• Sad imosnal
• Do you think the boy knows what lurks beneath the surface?
• See weed
• What do you think he can see/hear?
• He can hear wind,leves ratling
• What is the crocodile’s character like?
• 
  
• What will happen next? Continue the story.
• If you could jump into the picture, what would you do? Would you help the boy? How?

Measuring

For the last 3 week Mr Breach Home room Math group have been Leaning about Measuring so me Nici and Arnicka Measuring the window Next to Mrs Cox's office.

The most changing part was getting the right length.

The most easiest part was finding what to measure.

The length  is 1.36 centimeters

Today we talked about how we can make people's days.
During this week I will make people's day by

• Give people a BIG smile in the morning 
•  Make others feel good
• Give someone a compliment
• Including others in games and convessations
• holding the door open for someone
• wave to someone 

  I will catch up with you next week to let you know how I get on.


I completed some of my goals.  I thought that I would do all of them but I didn't.
However I make peoples day by doing: give someone a compliment I did that to a man that was at the park.

Give someone a big smile I gave my sister Paige a big smile because she helped me with some work
Make others feel good I make my mum and dad feel good
Wave to someone in the car there is always this girl from Hornby High school who waves to me so I wave back.

When I do all of things I feel good about it because it is nice and i feel good

The best part of me

This week in writing we have been learning to use adjectives. We read the story "The best part of me" by Wendy Ewald. Next we barnstormed ideas about our best body part.This is my writing.What is your best body part and why?

The best thing about me is My hands My hands are the best part of me because

if I didn't have them I couldn't grasp a  ball to throw it.when I am playing in the playground at school I pull myself up using my hands.my dog ruby, to do jobs for the teachers. But thank god I do have my hand.
